Pure:est The Perfectionist's Friend
Our very own Warehouse Operations Manager, Don, makes sure our warehouse is running like a well polished machine. On top of that, he embodies an obsession for all things car detailing and is very particular when detailing his beloved Volkswagen CC. Which is why when Don says a product is good, listeners should take note.
So when Don brought up his latest fascination, Pure:est, we knew it had to be good.
Getting a sneak peak into why he favors Pure:est so much, we took note while he chose and demonstrated his favorite chemicals.
Pure:est W1 Wheel Cleaner and Iron Remover
First up, W1 Wheel Cleaner and Iron Remover. Now, Don is very meticulous about keeping his car clean. His car is ALWAYS looking great, but just because something looks clean doesn't always mean it is.
Don mentioned, "German cars are notorious for brake dust build up, so watch this".
Even on this seemingly clean wheel there is a lot of chemical decontamination happening. The iron remover interacting with all of that brake dust is what creates this purple residue.
After letting the chemical sit on the wheel for a little, he agitated the wheel with a Work Stuff Hurricane Mitt and a Wheel Whoolie and then simply rinsed it.
Pure:est S1 Hydrophobic Shampoo
Number two on Don's list of Pure:est favorites, is S1 Hydrophobic Shampoo. This is a great shampoo giving the easiest way to add a protective sealant and clean the car at the same time. With Don being the meticulous detailer that he is, he feels absolutely comfortable using S1 as his primary soap.
However, if you don't regularly wash your car as often as Don, you might need some extra cleaning power. For that, we suggest using Pure:est S3 PH-Neutral Car Shampoo first.
With S1 PH-Neutral Hydrophobic Shampoo, you want to spray directly onto your wash mitt, wiping your car down panel by panel. Then "BOOM" your car has some protection on it.
Simply rinse it off afterwards and this alone should give you a few weeks of protection. It's never been this easy to add protection on your car!
Pure:est P01 Protection & Gloss
Last but not least on Don's Pure:est favorites is P1 Protection & Gloss. S1 Hydrophobic Shampoo gives a base of protection, but if you want an added sense of protection, that's where P01 comes in handy.
Pure:est recommends 2 to 3 sprays directly onto the panel while wet and rinse off, making sure to not let it dry before you rinse it off. Then continue going panel by panel through the whole car.
Being that Don is very set in his ways, he has a different approach to applying P1. He personally sprays it onto a towel and applies it panel by panel.
It's an extremely easy way to add protection to your car and lasts for a little over a month.
P1 can be applied to the whole exterior of the car. So make sure to get your panels, windows, and even headlights and tail lights for that added protection.
And don't forget it can be applied to wheels too!
Pure:est S1 Hydrophobic Shampoo will generally yield about 2-4 weeks of protection. While P1 Protection & Gloss will yield anywhere from 1 to 2 months.
To conclude, you need to think of protection in layers. The more layers of protection you add, the longer it will last. The more often you add layers, the longer your protection will last. So doing both S1 and P1 will create better and longer lasting protection than just one.
Since applying S1 and P1 is so easy, there should be no reason your car should ever be without some sort of protection!
